• Metal granulation according to the GranTech ferroalloy granulation system
• Slag granulation
• Hydraulic transportation

Applied Soil Water Technologies, LLC (ASW) specialises in providing engineering solutions to the mining, landfill, agricultural, energy and processing industries. ASW utilises the GranTech granulation system for granule production of iron and ferroalloys.

During granulation a stream of liquid metal is split up in drops which fall into a water tank where quenching takes place. The granules are discharged, dewatered, dried and packed. The whole process from hot metal in the ladle to finished product takes less than 3 minutes!

ASW provides all aspects of the granulation system; design, equipment engineering and manufacturing, construction management and system startup. ASW also manufactures replacement parts and provides a consulting service on system maintenance.
